LCH / LAB: These color spaces are designed to be perceptually uniform, meaning that a change in color value corresponds more closely to how humans perceive color differences. Mixing in LCH or LAB often produces more natural and intuitive blends, especially for gradients or when trying to maintain perceived brightness.
HSL: Hue, Saturation, and Lightness. Mixing in HSL can sometimes lead to unexpected shifts in perceived brightness or saturation as hue changes.
RGB: Red, Green, and Blue. This is a direct mix of the light components. It's how colors are typically mixed on screens but may not always align with perceptual expectations (e.g., mixing red and green can result in a muddy yellow/brown).
