These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of 66Colorful located at 66colorful.com (the “Site”) and our color tools and features (collectively, the “Services”). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
1) Who We Are & What We Provide
66Colorful provides color-related utilities, including but not limited to color pickers, converters, contrast and accessibility checkers, palette generators, and image-based tools that analyze uploaded images to extract colors. The Services are provided for informational and creative purposes only and do not constitute design, legal, or accessibility certification.
2) Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Services. If you are using the Services on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
3) Limited License
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Services for personal or internal business purposes. We reserve all rights not expressly granted.
4) Your Content
Some features allow you to provide content (e.g., images or URLs for analysis) (“User Content”). You retain ownership of your User Content. By submitting User Content, you grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, process, and display the User Content solely to operate the Services at your request.
You represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights to your User Content and that it does not: (a) infringe or violate any intellectual property, privacy, or other rights; (b) contain unlawful or harmful material; or (c) violate these Terms or applicable law.
5) Outputs & Usage
The Services may generate outputs such as color codes, palettes, contrast ratios, conversions, and derived data (“Outputs”). To the extent permitted by law, you may use Outputs for any lawful purpose (including commercial use) without attribution. Outputs are provided “as is” and may include errors; you are solely responsible for verifying suitability in your projects.
6) Prohibited Uses
- Reverse engineering, disabling, or circumventing security or rate limits.
- Scraping, bulk downloading, or automated access that degrades performance or bypasses our interfaces (contact us for permission/API access).
- Uploading illegal content or content you do not have rights to use.
- Introducing malware, attempting to gain unauthorized access, or interfering with the Services’ operation.
- Using the Services to violate any law or third-party rights.
7) Image Handling
Image-based features process images solely to provide the requested result (e.g., extracting colors). Where feasible, processing occurs in your browser; if server-side processing is required for compatibility or performance, any transient server copy is used only to complete the request and is not retained longer than necessary to operate the feature.
8) Intellectual Property
The Site, Services, and all related content, code, design, text, graphics, logos, and trademarks are owned by or licensed to 66Colorful and are protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the limited license above, these Terms do not grant you any rights in our IP. Third-party libraries or components are provided under their respective licenses.
9) Third-Party Links & Services
The Services may include links to third-party sites or services. We are not responsible for their content, policies, or practices. Your use of third-party resources is at your own risk and subject to their terms.
10) No Professional Advice; Color & Accessibility Disclaimers
Outputs are informational only and do not constitute design, legal, or accessibility advice. Color appearance varies by display, ambient light, profiles, and materials; we cannot guarantee visual results in your environment. Tools referencing standards (e.g., contrast guidelines) are simplified utilities and do not certify compliance.
11) Availability & Changes
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time without liability. We also may introduce new features or impose limits (e.g., usage caps) to maintain performance and security.
12) Feedback
If you send ideas, suggestions, or feedback, you grant us a perpetual, worldwide, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use them without restriction or compensation.
13) DMCA / Copyright Complaints
If you believe content on the Site infringes your copyright, send a notice to with: (a) your physical or electronic signature; (b) identification of the work claimed to be infringed; (c) identification of the material claimed to be infringing and information to locate it; (d) your contact details; (e) a statement of good-faith belief that use is not authorized; and (f) a statement that the information is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, you are authorized to act.
14) Privacy
Your use of the Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and use information.
15) Disclaimers
THE SERVICES AND ALL OUTPUTS ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
16) Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, 66COLORFUL AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND PARTNERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES; OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL; OR FOR SERVICE INTERRUPTION, COMPUTER DAMAGE, OR SYSTEM FAILURE, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), PRODUCT LIABILITY, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED US$100.
17) Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless 66Colorful and its affiliates, officers, employees, and partners from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your User Content, your use of the Services, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
18) Governing Law & Venue
If you reside in the United States, these Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, U.S.A., without regard to conflict-of-laws principles, and you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Houston, Texas. If you reside outside the United States, the laws of your country of residence will apply to any disputes, and your local courts shall have jurisdiction, except where local law requires otherwise.
19) Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time if we believe you have violated these Terms or to protect the Services or other users. Upon termination, provisions that by their nature should survive (e.g., Sections 5, 8, 10, 12–18) will survive.
20) Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. If changes materially affect your rights or obligations, we may provide additional notice as required by law. Your continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance.
